Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia (POTS)
If you’ve tried traditional therapies, medication, injections, multiple physician consultations, massage, resting from the pain or even pushing through the pain… and you haven’t found relief, try our advance therapy approach.
Retrain Your Autonomic Nervous System
POTS is a form of dysautonomia and a dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ANS controls everything that is “automatic” – heart rate, breathing, digestion and blood pressure. POTS symptoms include abnormal increase in heart rate after sitting up or standing, lightheadedness, abdominal pain, and fainting. Conventional treatment typically involves medication, pressure garments and blood volume management via proper hydration and even IV fluids.
We focus on retraining the autonomic nervous system via breathing, postural and sensory reeducation. This allows the nervous system to become more regulated and centered, reducing feelings of lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea, and imbalance.
When I started therapy at Taylor Creek PT, it was the first time real change happened. I learned how to breathe, how posture and positioning affected my symptoms, and how strengthening specific muscles in my legs and core supported my nervous system. The attacks became shorter, less intense, and eventually stopped.
I've now been two years attack-free. I'm back in school, singing in choir, golfing, and living fully again. Taylor Creek PT didn't just manage my symptoms - it gave me my life back.
